Deoxys Normal Forme

Picture
Deoxys offers a lot of options to players, thanks to its various forms. Deoxys in Legends Awakened is no different. Deoxys Normal Forme (Legends Awakened, 1/146) has a Form Change Poké-Body that allows you to search your deck for any Deoxys and switch it with Deoxys Normal Forme. You must then shuffle Deoxys Normal Forme back into your deck, but this action could be beneficial if its HP is low and you go after another form with higher HP.  Deoxys Normal Forme has only one attack, Energy Crush, which does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy your opponent has in play. The damage can really add up with this attack, and the cost to use it is low enough to make it worthwhile.

Dragonite

Picture
Dragonite (Legends Awakened, 2/146) is a Colorless-type Pokémon, which means that it can use any type of Energy to power its attacks. This makes it extremely versatile. Dragonite’s Hyper Beam attack does 40 damage, and if you flip heads, you can remove an Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon. Its second attack, Draco Meteor, costs 4 Energy and gives you the opportunity to do 50 damage to each of your opponent’s Pokémon. You have to flip a coin for each Pokémon to see if the attack works, but it’s worth a shot considering the big-time damage it can pass around. Weighing in at a hefty 140 HP, Dragonite is tough enough to withstand some serious attacks and stay Active when you need heavy firepower.

Froslass

Picture
Froslass (Legends Awakened, 3/146) is equipped with two attacks, and you'll need both Psychic Energy and Water Energy if you want to power both of them. While it doesn't deliver any damage, Destiny Bond is a great attack that could make your opponent think twice about dealing the final blow to Froslass. After discarding a Psychic Energy, Destiny Bond forces the Attacking Pokémon to be Knocked Out if it would Knock Out Froslass during the next turn. Froslass still gets Knocked Out, but it takes the foe down with it! In addition to this strategic attack, Froslass's Icy Breath attack inflicts 40 damage and forces the Defending Pokémon to fall Asleep. As an added bonus, the attack puts 1 damage counter on each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. This interesting mix of attacks makes Froslass a fun Pokémon to play and a formidable foe to face.

Giratina

Picture
When it comes to Basic Pokémon, they rarely come more powerful than the Legendary Giratina (Legends Awakened, 4/146). Although Giratina could start off a battle in the Active position, it may be wise to put Giratina on the Bench to give yourself time to power up its Brutal Edge attack. Brutal Edge requires 2 Psychic Energy and 2 Colorless Energy to activate, but the stiff Energy cost is certainly worthwhile. The attack is brutal indeed—inflicting 50 damage and 10 more damage for each damage counter on the Defending Pokémon. This renegade Pokémon can take out the heaviest of hitters with one vicious blow!

Gliscor

Picture
The cold, yellow eyes of Gliscor (Legends Awakened, 5/146) serve as a warning that this Pokémon means business. Gliscor's Burning Poison attack allows it to either hit and run, or to stick around a while to harass its foe. For no Energy, Burning Poison permits you to choose either Burned or Poisoned and affect the Defending Pokémon with that Special Condition. If you choose, you can immediately return Gliscor and all cards attached to it to your hand. Or, if you'd prefer to pile on the punishment, you can strike with its Pester attack on your next turn. Pester strikes for an immediate 40 damage, and it does 40 more damage if the Defending Pokémon is affected by a Special Condition. If your target didn't recover during its last turn, Pester will drain an impressive 80 damage from the Defending Pokémon.

Luxray

Picture
Legends Awakened has a great answer to all of those powerful Pokémon LV.X lurking in your opponent's deck, and that answer's name is Luxray (Legends Awakened, 8/146). Luxray's Poké-Body, Rivalry, increases all of Luxray's attacks by an additional 50 damage whenever your opponent has a LV.X Pokémon in play. With this ability backing them up, Luxray's two attacks become extremely powerful. Applied to Shock Bolt, Rivalry allows you to do whopping 150 damage! To top it off, Luxray's 120 HP and free Retreat Cost make it a tough Pokémon to Knock Out. So, if you're ready to take your combat to the next level, try unleashing the power of Luxray!

Metagross

Picture
Metagross truly has an attractive personality! Metagross (Legends Awakened, 10/146) has a Magnetic Reversal Poké-Power that with a flip of a coin allows you to pull a Pokémon hiding on the Bench into the Active position. Although normally best left on the Bench to use this Poké-Power, if needed, Metagross can be a heavy hitter. Extra Comet Punch hits for an initial 50, and then the base damage rockets to 100 on the next use. Watch out, or you may become very attached to this Pokémon!

Probopass

Picture
Probopass (Legends Awakened, 13/146) has a nose for strategy, and you'll be the smelling the sweet scent of success when you unleash its Metal Bomber attack upon an unsuspecting opponent. Probopass is a Stage 1 Pokémon that evolves from Nosepass. This Fighting-type Pokémon performs best when it's powered up with plenty of Metal Energy. Metal Bomber strikes for 60 and then allows you to choose a number of Pokémon on your opponent's Bench up to the amount of Metal Energy attached to Probopass. Choose your targets carefully and then hit each of them for an additional 20 damage. Multiplying the metallic mayhem, Probopass's Steel Coating Poké-Body reduces damage by 10 for each Metal Energy attached to Probopass (up to 20). It takes 1 Fighting Energy and 2 Colorless Energy to get Metal Bomber started, but after that, drop Metal Energy on Probopass like it's going out of style.

Rayquaza

Picture
Rayquaza (Legends Awakened, 14/146) is big enough to tower over most Pokémon, and its devastating Sky Judgment attack puts it head and shoulders above the competition. Sky Judgment delivers sky-high damage of 150, but it requires 2 Fire Energy and 2 Lightning Energy to execute. Also, you have to discard all Energy attached to Rayquaza after the attack. However, this isn’t much of a problem, thanks to Rayquaza’s Speed Gain Poké-Power. Once a turn, Speed Gain permits you to flip a coin until you get tails. For each heads, you get to search your discard pile for a basic Fire or basic Lightning Energy card and attach it to Rayquaza. Rayquaza reenergizes quickly, so you’ll be ready to repeat the whole process over again in no time at all!

Spiritomb

Picture
You’ll be good in spirits with the company of this Psychic-type Pokémon! Spiritomb (Legends Awakened, 16/146) does a great job of inflicting damage on weakened Pokémon. Spiritomb’s Curse Breath Poké-Power does damage to all Pokémon in play that have any damage counters on them, even your own. This would normally be annoying, but its Transfer Pain attack then allows you to move 1 damage counter from 1 of your Pokémon to 1 of your opponent’s Pokémon. Try combining Spiritomb with other Pokémon from Legends Awakened that are good at spreading around damage, such as Yanmega (Legends Awakened, 17/146).

Yanmega

Picture
What’s that in the sky? It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Yanmega (Legends Awakened, 17/146)! Yanmega  is a quick and effective Pokémon, with a free Sonic Wave attack that does 10 damage to all of your opponent’s Pokémon in play. Its Retreat Cost is 0, but if you want to deliver some damage before Yanmega heads for the Bench, try its Pursue and Turn attack. Pursue and Turn does 60 damage, plus 20 more damage if the Defending Pokémon already has 2 or more damage counters on it. After the damage is done, you then switch Yanmega with one of your Benched Pokémon. Try to catch this speedy  Pokémon…if you can!

Groudon

Picture
Watch out for this Pokémon’s ground-rattling attacks! Try using  Groudon's (Legends Awakened, 29/146) Drought attack early in the game, getting Energy attached to your Pokémon at record speed (and that includes Groudon, of course), which is a great way to quickly get set up for Major Earthquake on the next turn. Major Earthquake does 100 damage to the Defending Pokémon, but there is a minor drawback—it forces you to discard 2 Energy attached to Groudon and do 10 damage to each of your Benched Pokémon. Nevertheless, Groudon's quick setup can give it an early edge to win an entire game within the first few turns!

Heatran

Picture
The Lava Dome Pokémon makes its TCG debut in Diamond & Pearl—Legends Awakened. Weighing in at a hefty 100 HP, Heatran (Legends Awakened, 30/146) is a beefy Basic Pokémon that can dish out big-time damage. Heatran's Heavy Metal attack strikes for a base damage of 40, but that's just the beginning. You get to flip a coin for each Metal Energy attached to Heatran, and tack on another 20 damage for each heads. Heatran's Smelt Poké-Power facilitates this attack by allowing you to move a Metal Energy attached to 1 of your Pokémon to Heatran. Power up Heatran with Metal Energy, and cook up a quick Knock Out!

Kyogre

Picture
Kyogre (Legends Awakened, 32/146) is amazingly effective if you stock your deck with enough Water Energy. Its Drizzle attack costs no Energy, and it allows you to attach two Water Energy cards from your hand to one of your Pokémon. Drizzle can keep Kyogre powered up to unleash High Tide, which hits the Defending Pokémon for 60 and also does 20 damage to each of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. This damage soon adds up, making the Bench an unsafe place for opposing Pokémon to hide. Never underestimate the powerful Sea Basin Pokémon Kyogre!

Regigigas

Picture
According to legend, Regigigas (Legends Awakened, 37/146) once towed entire continents using only ropes and its own strength.  Now you can harness the power of this Legendary Pokémon in its TCG debut. Regigigas is a Basic Pokémon with 100 Hit Points and a Recover Mechanism Poké-Body that allows you to remove all Special Conditions from Regigigas when you attach an Energy card to it. Power Regigigas with 3 Colorless Energy, and it's ready to strike with its Gigaton Punch attack for 60 damage. After the initial onslaught, flip a coin. If heads, the attack does an additional 20 damage and 20 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. Since Regigigas requires only Colorless Energy to attack, this Pokémon is easy to incorporate into almost any deck.

Lucario

Picture
Lucario (Legends Awakened, 61/146) may be just the boost your deck needs to pound your competition into the ground. Lucario’s Focus Blast attack lets you do 30 damage to any of your opponent’s Pokémon of your choice, which gives you a great opportunity to wreak havoc on your opponent's Bench. This attack works beautifully with Spike Lariat, which allows you to put 60 damage on the Defending Pokémon, or 80 damage if that Pokémon already has any damage counters on it. With 90 HP and a Retreat Cost of only one Energy, this Pokémon could push your deck over the edge of greatness!

Buck's Training

Picture
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow with Snowpoint Temple (Legends Awakened, 134/146). Playing this Stadium card gives you a good reason to keep your Basic Pokemon just the way they came into play—basic. No evolving here, because Snowpoint Temple gives all Basic Pokémon in play (both yours and your opponent's) an extra 20 HP, which may give your Basic Pokemon the edge they need to survive a little longer. It's a great way to protect your Basic Pokémon from the threat of a first-turn Knock Out!

Cynthia's Feelings

Picture
Cynthia is the Sinnoh Pokémon League Champion, and she's in the mood to pump up your drawing power. Cynthia's Feelings (Legends Awakened, 131/146) is a Supporter card that allows you to draw 4 cards if you shuffle your current hand into your deck. Play this card immediately after your opponent Knocks Out one of your Pokémon, and you can draw 4 additional cards. When you're stuck with a hand full of Energy and no Pokémon, Cynthia's Feelings is just the card you need to freshen up your hand.

Stark Mountain

Picture
Technical Machine TS-1 (Legends Awakened, 136/146) is an amazing new type of Trainer card that provides incredible search power. Like a Pokémon Tool, TMs are attached to a Pokémon in play. Then, the Pokémon may use the TM's attack instead of its own. Technical Machine TS-1’s attack, Evoluter, allows you to search your deck for a card that evolves from 1 of your Pokémon and put it onto that Pokémon. If you’re looking to add some speed to your deck, keep your eyes peeled for Technical Machine TS-1!

Gliscor

Picture
Gliscor LV.X (Legends Awakened, 141/146) is an effective Pokémon that is guaranteed to keep your opponents on their toes. When Gliscor LV.Xis put onto an Active Gliscor, you can choose 1 of the Defending Pokémon and cause it to be both Paralyzed and Poisoned. This not only gives you extra time to set up, but it also ensures that your opponent takes constant damage. Night Slash is a versatile attack because it gives you the choice of switching Gliscor LV.X with one of your Benched Pokémon right after you hit for 60 damage. With a Retreat Cost of 0, Gliscor LV.X allows you to snipe for some easy damage on the Defending Pokémon.

Mesprit

Picture
Mesprit LV.X (Legends Awakened, 143/146) packs quite a punch if you also have Azelf LV.X (Legends Awakened, 140/146) and Uxie LV.X (Legends Awakened, 146/146) in play. Its Supreme Blast attack  is a real game changer that has players talking. If you’re skilled enough to get Uxie LV.X and Azelf LV.X in play along with Mesprit LV.X, Supreme Blast will hit for a devastating 200 damage! Although you have to discard all Energy attached to Mesprit, few opponents will be able to stand up to this heavy onslaught. Add to that Mesprit LV.X's Healing Look attack that requires no Energy and removes 3 damage counters from each of your Benched Pokémon.

Mewtwo

Picture
Mewtwo LV.X (Legends Awakened, 144/146) is a stone wall of a Pokémon—built to last with an amazing 120 HP! Making it even harder to Knock Out, its Psybarrier Poké-Body prevents all effects, including damage, done by Basic Pokémon. This is simply awesome! Its Giga Burn attack inflicts a devastating 120 damage to the Defending Pokémon but not without its drawbacks. Mewtwo LV.X will feel the burn as well, because all of its Energy will be tossed into the discard pile. As a result, this attack is best saved for when you need a big Knock Out, or if you have a method with which to quickly restore the Energy.

Rhyperior

Picture
Rhyperior LV.X (Legends Awakened, 145/146) rumbles into action with the subtlety of a tsunami… Weighing in at 170 Hit Points, this LV.X Pokémon adds two awesome attacks to Rhyperior that work very well together. Hard Crush can dole out enough damage to Knock Out any Pokémon in existence with a little luck. For no Energy, you can discard the top 5 cards from your deck and inflict 50 damage for each Energy card you cast aside. And keep your deck stocked with Energy cards with the Upthrow attack. Upthrow hits for 60 damage, and then allows you to move all Fighting Energy cards from your discard pile to your deck. Combine these two attacks and watch the competition crumble!
